I live and work in Smithers, British Columbia with my wife and 8-year-old son. Having grown up around photographs, a fond memory of my childhood is looking at my grandfather's slides. Photography began to become more serious for me when my mom bought me a Canon Rebel SLR to take with me to China in 1994. A favourite activity of mine after I finished teaching for the day was to take my camera and walk for hours. It was good preparation for my current love of exploration.
My photographic experience and ability kept on growing to the point that in December of 2004 I started a photography business. My first exhibition was in a small coffeeshop in Abbotsford, BC. Since then I have exhibited in a number of different venues in Abbotsford, and more recently in the Bulkley Valley (from Smithers and Terrace to the Museum of Northern BC in Prince Rupert, BC). I currently do a wide range of photography, from commercial jobs to family portraits and sports. I am also very passionate about the artistic and abstract side of things. I love turning ordinary life into extraordinary art.
